Category: Zone BBS Q&A
Whenever I press enter on any "click here to listen to it" link for an audio porfile, i hear nothing.
Is there any special active x control i have to download or something?
Using Windows 98 standard v4.10.1998, I E 6, and Jaws 5.0.
Also using WinAmp v5.32.
Thanks in advance.
hmm, haven't tried this with win98, but 4 me, i have a windows ce machine and they play fine when u click the click here 2 listen to it links. maybe it's a windows 98 thing?
I don't think it is. Whenever I acces the same link as stated in the first post I can't hear it either. I use windows xp pro with service pack 2, ie 7, and window eys? Alsoo I can't get any of the sounds to play either.
i can hear them fine
I can not hear the sound and audio profile as well!
I am now using the Chinese version of the window xp.
does it a matter?
me niether lol
i cannot hear them on a mac. I have also asked for help with the admins and gotten no response...
I think as much as this site does not mention any scripting, you do have to have all scripting features turned on completely to hear all the sounds. OK for the zone, but bad security practice, lol...
That was happening to me for the longest time. And the really sad thing is, I don't know exactly what I did to fix it. I must have somehow fixed it during a period of time when I didn't frequent the Zone very often, because when I logged in after being gone for a month or two, the sounds worked again.
Hi, i am using IE7 and can't hear any sounds on the zone either. sounds on other sites work, but not on the zone. maybe it's the extra scripts to help other browsers?
hi there,
check out on your profiles, if you have activated the botton "play sounds". If you did so, it should work, if not, I don't know what to tell you more.
Well, one ting is definitely a site bug (or, if it is by design they should tell you).
If, in your profile, you choose to turn off site sounds you also turn of the ability to hear audio profiles.
I find that weird since Audio Profiles are different from the other Zone sounds, I would think.
Just an observation. May be it helps someof you with your problems.
cheers
